She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1981 from the University of Madras, India. She worked as a Chemist and freelance English Language trainer from 1983 to 1989, Completed LLB Honours from University of London in 1993, CLP in the following year and was called to the Bar in the year 1995. She later completed her LLM from University of Malaya in 2005. She has been in private practice for over 25 years

She is an accredited mediator with the Malaysian Mediation Centre and Asian International Arbitration Centre. She is also an accredited Trainer for Mediation Skill Training Course conducted by Malaysian Mediation Centre. Several trainings have been conducted by her since 2006

She is the Co-Chairperson of Mediation Committee of the Malaysian Bar Council and a member of the Disciplinary Committee Panel of the Advocate & Solicitors Board. She co - authored the Family Law Section of the “Street Law Manual” for ERA Consumers and trained the Trainers of the Street Law Manual and helped preparing the Mediation Skill Training Manual for the Malaysian Bar Council. She also co - authored the Chapter on “Malaysian Mediation” in the Asia Mediation Hand Book published by Thomson Reuters Hong Kong

She has been appointed as President of Strata Management Tribunal in the year 2019

She conducts Legal Awareness Programme at schools, universities and community centers and frequently gives talks in areas of Family Law, Mediation, Constitutional law at seminars, conferences, universities, colleges radio and television

She is passionate about mediation and actively promotes Mediation as it is a best method to resolve dispute amicably and to maintain relationship

Her areas of practice are in Conveyancing and Litigation in Sales & Purchase, Land Matters, Family Law, Wills, Probates and Letters of Administration, Private, Public and Charitable Trust & Foundations and all aspects of Corporate Law and Mediation

She strongly believes in the motto that clients need to be attended to personally and this has been the crux of her practice.
